On the road to fight cancer, no one should be left behind

  The 2009 World Cancer Declaration was initiated by the International Union Against Cancer (UICC) and adopted by the 2009 World Cancer Congress High Level Meeting. The declaration was officially announced at the World Cancer Congress in early 2009.  The World Cancer Group Initiative The World Cancer Group calls on governments, international governmental organizations, international philanthropic and development agencies, academic institutions, the private sector and all civil society organizations to act urgently to minimize and control cancer mortality by providing the necessary resources and policy support to accomplish the following goals  Goals by 2020 To ensure that cancer control programs are effectively implemented in countries around the world using long-term, effective systems.  The role of global cancer burden assessment and cancer control interventions will be significantly enhanced.  Global levels of tobacco inhalation, obesity, and alcohol intake will be significantly reduced.  Comprehensive vaccination of populations with high prevalence of HPV and hepatitis B virus will be implemented.  Public awareness of cancer will be improved, and misconceptions about the dangers of cancer will be eliminated.  Through widespread cancer screening and early diagnosis, the public’s awareness of prevention of early signs of cancer and the professional sensitivity of professionals will be increased, enabling more cancer patients to receive early diagnosis.  To provide accurate diagnosis and reasonable treatment for cancer patients worldwide, and to improve the level of adjuvant treatment, rehabilitation treatment and palliative care.  Pain assessment tools applied to cancer pain patients will be widely used.  Provide more professional training opportunities for cancer workers in different fields.  The migration of cancer prevention and control professionals will be significantly reduced.  Cancer survival rates in various countries will be significantly improved.
