How many years does a brain tumor usually take to form

How long it takes for a brain tumor to form is something that needs to be considered depending on the nature of the brain tumor. Brain tumors include malignant and benign tumors. Malignant tumors take a short time to form, with some forming in a few months, while benign tumors are relatively slow to form and grow, and may take years to decades to develop.
1. Common malignant brain tumors include gliomas and lymphomas that originate in the brain parenchyma, and secondary brain tumors that metastasize to the brain from other parts of the body, i.e., brain metastases. Malignant brain tumors grow more rapidly, with some forming in a few months. Most of them have no peripheral membrane, the boundary is not obvious, and they grow aggressively, which will destroy brain tissues.
2. Benign brain tumors include meningiomas, nerve sheath tumors, pituitary tumors, craniopharyngiomas, etc. Benign brain tumors grow more slowly and usually have an intact envelope. They usually do not penetrate into the surrounding tissues, but will squeeze the brain tissues, and their growth may take years to decades.
Once a brain tumor is detected, patients are advised to go to the hospital in time for timely treatment under the doctor’s guidance.
