Dreaming is heart fire or liver fire

Excessive fire in the heart and liver can cause excessive dreaming. Dreaming is a symptom of disturbed and restless dreams after falling asleep. Dreams are often caused by emotional injuries, internal disturbance of phlegm-heat, and deficiency of internal organs. Commonly found in Shenlao, dirty agitation (upset and depression, sadness and want to cry for no reason), lily disease, and so on. According to Chinese medicine, the heart hides the spirit and the liver hides the soul, and if there is an excess of fire in the heart and the liver, it will cause restlessness of the spirit and the soul, and the symptom of excessive dreams. Those with heart fire are characterized by disturbances and dreams, or sores on the tongue, ulceration and pain; or vomiting of blood, epistaxis; or short and red urine (small amount of urine, dark yellow in color), burning heat and astringent pain. Liver fire manifests as insomnia and dreaminess, distension and pain in the head and eyes, dizziness, red face and eyes, bitter and dry mouth, irritability, tinnitus and deafness, or earache and pus, or burning pain in the ribs and wounds, or vomiting of blood and epistaxis, constipation of stools, and short and yellow urine. If there is any related condition, it is recommended to be treated under the guidance of a professional physician to identify the symptoms, and not to blindly self-medicate.
