Semen consists of spermatozoa, prostate fluid and other substances, normally showing a milky white or yellowish turbid liquid, so turbid semen is normal. Normal semen volume is generally ≥1.5~2.0ml, the color is off-white or light yellow, with a little fishy smell, a little sticky, pH 7.2~7.8, sperm viability ≥58%, sperm viability ≥32% for forward motion, non-forward motion and forward motion ≥40%. The examination of semen is mainly used to assess male fertility, assist in the diagnosis of male reproductive system diseases and sperm screening for artificial insemination. Normally cloudy semen is normal, but if abnormalities occur you should seek timely medical examination and early treatment.
