There is no such thing as “the best treatment for grade 3 cystic solid thyroid nodules”. Treatment for grade 3 thyroid nodules includes regular checkups and surgical removal. Cystic and solid thyroid nodules are collectively referred to as thyroid nodules. According to the TI-RADS classification, grade 3 thyroid nodules are probably benign, atypically benign on ultrasound, and the risk of malignancy is less than 2%. Therefore, patients with grade 3 thyroid nodules who are asymptomatic can just consider regular review. If necessary, thyroid puncture biopsy can be considered, and if the nodule is diagnosed as malignant, surgical excision is recommended. Patients with hypothyroidism can be treated with levothyroxine sodium tablets, and patients with hyperthyroidism can be treated with antithyroid drugs such as methimazole and propylthiouracil, as well as iodine radiation therapy. Patients with grade 3 cystic-solid thyroid nodules are advised to go to the hospital and ask the doctor to make a judgment in the light of their own conditions and formulate an individualized treatment plan.
