Macroglossia is an acute purulent inflammation of the sebaceous glands and lid glands near the follicles of the eyelashes, and can be divided by site into internal and external macroglossia, both of which present as acute purulent inflammation. The formation of molluscum contagiosum is primarily due to obstruction of the lid or sebaceous glands, along with local bacterial infection. The main causes are fire, late nights, prolonged eye use, and day/night reversal. Some people are prone to grow wheals all the time due to the above factors. Therefore, to avoid the formation of wheals, the main thing is to avoid fire, avoid spicy and stimulating food, quit smoking, quit drinking and form good living habits, all of which are conducive to avoiding the re-growth of wheals.
