What happened to the wheals on the lower eyelid?

Macrophthalmia is a common ophthalmologic condition that occurs in the eyelids, either the upper or lower eyelids, due to acute inflammation caused by bacterial invasion of the lid glands. In the early or acute stage, conservative treatment is recommended, choosing sensitive antibiotic drops or ointments to control local inflammation, such as levofloxacin hydrochloride drops, tobramycin drops, or erythromycin ointment. Local hot compresses can also be given in the early stage. Hot compresses can promote blood circulation around the eye, thus reducing swelling and anti-inflammatory effects. After the above conservative treatment, mydriasis can gradually return to normal. In a few patients, local abscesses may be formed at a later stage, and after this stage, the effect of conservative drug treatment is very poor, and early surgery is recommended to drain the pus.
