Varicose veins in the lower limbs are local blood circulation disorders caused by a combination of factors such as weakness of the lower limb vein walls, defective venous valves and persistent pressure increase in the veins, mostly in the saphenous vein of the lower leg. The onset of the disease is characterized by heavy lower limbs, easy fatigue, vague calf pain, suffocation and swelling, and aggravation of the upper symptoms after standing or walking more.

1.Acupuncture needle selection

Then select the corresponding size of the fire pot and quickly suck and cupping on the puncture site, each stimulation site bleeding about 50~100ml, so that the natural flow of blood to stop the degree. 4, prevention and conditioning
4.1 Forbid to eat spicy, sweet, fishy food, so as not to aggravate the disease. Eat more fresh vegetables and fruits. The disease is protracted, the spleen and stomach is the origin of the latter, the source of Qi and blood biochemical, should protect the middle jiao throughout the treatment, to prevent “stomach gas a defeat, a hundred drugs difficult to administer”. Therefore, patients should be advised to eat more light, nutritious and easily digestible food, and to eat more gruel.
4.2 Pay attention to rest, especially on the first day after treatment, do not overexert yourself, do not stand for a long time, put the lower limbs on the horizontal or elevated shelf, and wear elastic stockings to prevent disease progression.
4.3 In the course of treatment, the patient is instructed to protect the local ulcer surface clean, 24 hours after the needle is forbidden to get wet, to avoid needle hole infection. Do not use dressings to wrap the needle site, and expose the needle site directly to the circulating air.
4.4 Avoid local humidity, blisters, sunlight, scratching and rubbing after surgery, and let it crust naturally, do not scratch the scab after crusting, and wait for it to fall off naturally.
5.Post-operative problems and treatment
5.1 Dizziness If dizziness, nausea, sweating, which is the performance of dizziness, should immediately stop treatment, the needle jar removed, so that the patient lying down, pay attention to warmth, light rest for a few moments, after giving warm water or sugar water, can return to normal.
For dizziness needles should focus on prevention. Such as the first time to receive acupuncture treatment or overly nervous, weak patients, the doctor’s explanation work is particularly important, while choosing a comfortable and durable position; operation of the selection of points should be less, the technique should be light, to concentrate on the spirit, always pay attention to observe the patient’s complexion, ask the patient’s feelings, once the aura of dizziness, can take early treatment measures. 5.2 Local swelling and itching Local slight swelling and itching within two days after acupuncture treatment, generally do not do special treatment, two to three days after the natural disappearance; if swelling or itching is intense, may be the fire needle burning is not sufficient or local disinfection is not complete.

6, typical medical cases
Patient Zhang, female, 58 years old, retired before working in machine shop, was first diagnosed on April 26, 2011, with varicose veins of left lower limb for nearly 12 years, and saw sinuous and tortuous veins under knee of left lower limb like earthworms, often felt heavy, sore, painful and weak in left lower limb, with purple color of skin around lesion, aggravated after standing for a long time, and alleviated after lying down and resting and elevating leg. Treatment according to the previous method; May 24, the third treatment: the evidence of varicose veins at the bulge has become less obvious, the surrounding skin color has become normal.
Treatment according to the previous method, at this time the fire can suck out blood color has been bright red; June 4, the fourth treatment: varicose veins have been completely flattened as normal, sinuous shape has disappeared, the surrounding skin color is red and moist. The tongue is light red with thin white coating. No recurrence has been seen since the follow-up visit.
