It is used in treating stabbing pain in the chest and hypochondrium, chest paralysis and heart pain, dysmenorrhea due to menstrual closure, breast distension and pain, fainting in the mind due to fever (due to exuberance of heat), epilepsy, epistaxis due to heat in the blood, jaundice with urinary redness.
