Which lung cancer patients can be treated with anti-angiogenic drugs?

Which patients are suitable for treatment with anti-angiogenic drugs? In principle, anti-angiogenic drugs are effective for all tumors with blood vessels, because tumor cells grow by supplying nutrients from blood vessels. However, anti-angiogenic drugs are only suitable for patients with effective chemotherapy. Anti-angiogenic drugs can also cause some vascular problems, so they should be used with caution in tumors that are close to large blood vessels. In conclusion, it is best suited for strong-functioning solid-acting therapy after conventional chemotherapy and when the tumor is very little suppressed. Can anti-angiogenic drugs be used for all types of lung cancer patients? It needs to be considered from two aspects. Some anti-angiogenic drugs may cause bleeding, so tumors close to large blood vessels, especially those with bleeding tendency, should be used with caution. On the other hand, we need to consider the efficacy. Doctors will choose tumors with rich vascular supply or many vascular endothelial cells in peripheral blood, which gather near the tumor and form neovascularization. If there is such a phenomenon, the application of anti-angiogenic drugs will achieve very good efficacy.
