Broussonetia kasumi is sweet in flavor, cold in nature, and belongs to the liver and kidney meridians. It is effective in tonifying the kidneys and clearing the liver, brightening the eyes, and promoting diuresis (the discharge of urine), and is mainly used for lumbar and knee soreness and weakness due to insufficiency of the liver and kidneys, bone vaporization due to deficiency of labor, dizziness, cataracts in the eyes, and edema and distension.
