Eating peanuts is not the same as drinking peanut oil. Peanut oil is composed of 20% saturated fatty acids and 80% unsaturated fatty acids. The oil yield of peanuts is 45%-50%, and its composition contains protein, vitamins, carbohydrates, minerals and other nutrients in addition to peanut oil. Compared to peanut oil, peanuts contain more vitamins and trace elements such as vitamin A, vitamin B₆, vitamin E, and potassium, magnesium, and phosphorus. The fat content of peanuts is 44%-45%, and more than 77% of the total fat is unsaturated fat, which is dominated by linoleic acid, a polyunsaturated fatty acid, and oleic acid, a monounsaturated fatty acid, which, when consumed in moderation, can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Peanuts and peanut oil have a high calorie content, so it is recommended to control the calorie content appropriately and not to consume too much.
