What is herpes in the baby’s throat

Herpes throat in babies is an infectious disease caused by the coxsackie group A virus. This lesion is characterized by clinical manifestations associated with fever, sore throat, difficulty in swallowing, loss of appetite, and depression. The disease can be transmitted through droplets and also through the digestive tract and other related routes. Once herpes pharyngitis is diagnosed, it is recommended that the baby be treated as soon as possible. Clinically, antiviral drugs should be given for symptomatic treatment, while oral anti-inflammatory oral solution of Pudilan should be taken for consolidation treatment. It is recommended to drink more warm water and gargle appropriately. If the patient has fever, antipyretic treatment should be given. Some patients can improve in about 1 week, but if there are complications, the recovery may be slower.
