Adefovir tablets are used to treat hepatitis B virus in the active phase of the disease accompanied by increased glutathione. It can also be used as a substitute or compensated stage of liver function in chronic hepatitis B disease. So how do you take this medicine? It’s usually 10 milligrams, one tablet once a day. Once taken, it should never be discontinued, but only under the supervision of a doctor. Discontinuation is done after monitoring the hepatitis B DNA to see how active the virus is. If the virus is negative, the drug can be discontinued on the advice of your doctor. This medication should be taken for at least one to two years, during which time hepatitis B DNA should be monitored, as well as liver and kidney function.
