People develop itchy skin after chemotherapy for lung cancer, mainly because of adverse drug reactions and aggravation of itchy skin in the elderly. As the individual situation of each person is different, it is recommended to go to hospital for further examination and treatment under the guidance of doctors.
1. Drug allergy: some people may have an allergic reaction to the chemotherapy drugs used. It is recommended to inform the attending doctor when this happens and take anti-allergy treatment (e.g. loratadine, etc.) or change the chemotherapy drugs.
2. Itchy skin in the elderly: Some elderly people may experience itching, flaking and other discomfort due to dry skin. The use of chemotherapeutic drugs will promote even more itching of the skin. It is recommended that older adults apply more moisturizer during chemotherapy to avoid dry skin.
