What’s wrong with the stomach pain before meals?

Stomach pain before meals is mainly considered to have duodenal bulb ulcer, which mainly manifests as chronic, regular stomach pain, intestinal hunger pain and nocturnal pain, mainly due to increased secretion of gastric acid from hunger or at night, with large amounts of gastric acid causing irritating pain to the ulcer wall. In addition to this, gastroscopy should be performed to understand the presence of chronic gastritis, gastroesophageal reflux disease and gastric cancer, all of which may cause irregular stomach pain. When it is clear that duodenal ulcer is present, comprehensive treatment such as suppression of gastric acid secretion, protection of gastric mucosa, promotion of gastric motility and anti-H. pylori is given. If the effect of medical treatment is poor or there is a possibility of acute perforation, surgical operation should be performed. In short, we should pay attention to the regular diet and rest, avoid spicy and stimulating food, and avoid bad stimulation such as strong tea, coffee and alcohol to prevent the aggravation of the disease.
