This is a traditional Chinese medicine formula consisting of red beans, black soybeans, mung beans, honeysuckle and licorice. In this formula, black soybeans nourish kidney yin, red soybeans nourish liver and blood, honeysuckle and licorice clear heat and toxins, and mung beans clear heart fire.
Three Beans Drink has the effects of clearing fire, tranquilizing the fetus, nourishing yin and nourishing blood. It is used in the treatment of pre-eclampsia belonging to Yin deficiency and fire exuberance, manifesting as headache and dizziness, itchy skin, thirst and dry throat, blurred vision, desire for seizure of eclampsia, and red tongue with little coating or peeling in the middle.
