Difference between gallbladder cancer and cholecystitis

The difference between gallbladder cancer and cholecystitis is in the symptoms as well as the prognosis. Cholecystitis is a common inflammatory disease of gallbladder, and patients are mostly caused by gallbladder stones, alcoholism and other causes. After an attack, the patient has colic in the upper right abdomen, which is large and intolerable, and is more pronounced after eating greasy food, accompanied by nausea and vomiting. The prognosis of cholecystitis is better after controlling the inflammation, and patients can return to normal life. Gallbladder cancer is a malignant lesion of gallbladder, most of the patients do not have any symptom in the early stage, and it is found in the late stage. Besides nausea and vomiting, patients with gallbladder cancer also have abdominal pain, jaundice, emaciation and fatigue, etc. Most of the patients need surgical resection as well as radiotherapy and chemotherapy. The malignant degree of gallbladder cancer is relatively high and the prognosis of patients is poor. Patients with cholecystitis or gallbladder cancer need to be identified by professional doctors according to the patient’s performance and auxiliary examination.
