What is the cure rate for stage IIb cervical cancer?

Stage IIb cervical cancer has a five-year survival rate of about 50% to 60% after treatment with surgery and other therapies.
Cervical cancer is a common malignant tumor in women caused by human papillomavirus infection, hormones, heredity, etc. Stage IIb is the first stage in the FIGO (International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics) staging, which means that the uterus is invaded by the parietal but has not yet invaded the pelvic wall. This period can be treated aggressively with surgery and other methods.
After treatment, the five-year survival rate for patients with stage IIb cervical cancer is about 50 to 60 percent. Attention should be paid to the need for regular review after surgery as prescribed by the doctor, such as every three months for the first three years; every six months for three to five years; and every year thereafter.
