Zhongji has the effects of warming yang and benefiting water (replenishing yang qi in the body and promoting the circulation of water and fluids), regulating menstruation and stopping leucorrhea (regulating menstruation and reducing abnormally increased leucorrhea).
Zhongji is used to treat enuresis, dysuria (unsmooth urination), retention of urine (dribbling or inability to urinate), spermatorrhea, impotence, infertility, menstrual disorders, metrorrhagia (excessive or dribbling menstruation), yin jie (prolapse of the uterus in women or even prolapse out of the vaginal opening), and itching of the yin.
