Is lymph node pain cancer?

Lymph node pain may be caused by cancer or lymphadenitis, so it needs to be analyzed on a case-by-case basis. There are many clinical reasons for lymph node pain, such as lymphadenitis and local cellulitis, which can lead to lymph node pain and may be accompanied by fever. Lymph node pain may also be caused by related cancers. Lymphatic metastasis is one of the important metastatic pathways of cancer, and patients may also have swollen and ill-defined lymph nodes with a hard texture and poor mobility. However, lymph node metastasis or lymphoma is not predominantly painful, or even often painless. If a patient suspects that cancer is the cause of lymph node pain, a lymphatic tissue biopsy can be performed, and the diagnosis can be clarified by pathological examination results. In daily life, if lymph node pain occurs, one can go to the general surgery department of a regular hospital, or to the relevant department according to the location of the pain, to clarify the cause and then treat it accordingly.
