If gasoline poisoning, the patient should be immediately removed from the scene, lying in the fresh air, the patient belt, buttons, to keep the airway open, with soapy water to wash the skin, hair; eye contamination can be used sodium bicarbonate rinse; accidental consumption of gasoline can be instilled into the milk or vegetable oil, and then sent to the hospital for vomiting, gastric lavage, diarrhea, try to rule out the gasoline caused by the absorption of toxic substances. Gasoline is a narcotic poison, mainly in the central nervous system, can cause nerve dysfunction. Low concentration can cause changes in the body’s regulatory reflexes, and high concentrations can cause paralysis of the respiratory center. Gasoline has a special effect on lipid metabolism in the body, which can cause lipid balance imbalance in nerve cells, fluctuation of fat content in blood, and changes in cholesterol and phospholipids. The high temperature in the labor environment can accelerate the evaporation of gasoline and increase the poison, and gasoline and carbon monoxide enter the body at the same time and cause death. Mild poisoning can cause mild symptoms of paralysis, with irritation of the patient’s conjunctiva, tearing, runny eyes, conjunctival congestion, coughing, dizziness, headache, and even nausea, vomiting, unsteady gait, and tremor of the limbs. Severe poisoning is relatively rare and usually occurs in environments with a high concentration of gasoline evaporation, causing sudden loss of consciousness and cessation of respiratory reflexes leading to death. Some patients have coma, twitching of limbs, eye movement disorders, or even strabismus, dilated pupils, delayed or disappeared light reflex, some patients have facial flushing, weak heart sound, accelerated pulse, shortness of breath, and may also have fever, and some patients even have hallucinations, hand and foot dances, and hysterical state.
