How to sleep at night with a stuffy nose

Nasal congestion is mostly due to cold, which leads to more secretions on the nasal mucosa, and this is when you should keep warm. If you can’t sleep well with a stuffy nose at night, you can adopt the following measures to increase your sleep quality.

1.After taking cold medicine, sleep with an extra layer of blanket. If it is summer, bear with it for a day or two, turn off the fan, air conditioner and other devices, and choose to cover with a quilt that will not get cold and will not feel overheated. If you take cold medicine for a day or two and your condition does not show signs of improvement, you should go to the doctor.

2. Pad a pillow. Elevating the head position can improve the ventilation of the nose and help increase the quality of sleep. When sleeping, be careful to expose your head to the blanket so that you can breathe air and make your nose feel less blocked. Drinking a small amount of warm water before going to bed also has the effect of relieving the blocked nose in bed.

3.Smoke your nose. Heat a pot of water and smoke your nose with water vapor, which can also make your nose become clear. Note that when using this method, do not put your face too close to avoid being hot water burns.

These methods are only treating the symptoms, if sleeping with a stuffy nose is not caused by a cold, but caused by other nasal diseases, you must pay attention to it, so as not to develop a more serious nasal disease.
