Rhinitis is one of the common rhinological diseases, and there is no specific treatment method for both Chinese and Western medicine. For patients who have already used various methods of Western medicine or taken Chinese medicine and other methods without effect, you can try acupuncture therapy, which can alleviate or relieve nasal symptoms in some patients. Before you start treatment, please make sure you understand the following to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings
1. Acupuncture treatment for chronic rhinitis is used to regulate nerves, meridians and yin and yang in accordance with the theory of Chinese and Western medicine to achieve the purpose of relieving or alleviating nasal symptoms, but there is no guarantee that the symptoms will completely disappear or be reduced after treatment; there is no guarantee that the treatment will be effective for as many times as possible; there is no guarantee that the symptoms will not worsen after treatment. Patients with rhinitis that develops only in certain seasons each year can be seen at the onset of the disease, and patients with severe symptoms throughout the year can be seen at any time.
2. As some patients may be nervous during their first visit, please do not have acupuncture on an empty stomach; do not clench your teeth or shake your head after entering the needle. Try to breathe deeply, relax and cooperate with the doctor to enter the needles, which normally takes less than 1 minute from entering to leaving the needle.
3, during the process of acupuncture, if there are sore teeth, lip numbness, nasal electric shock-like or water spray-like sensations, are normal reactions.
4, Although the acupuncture method is safe, in a few cases the needling will lead to local swelling, bruising, distension, toothache, dizziness and other discomfort at the acupuncture point, which will disappear after a few hours or days. If stasis and swelling occur, apply cold compresses within 24 hours and warm water after 24 hours to promote absorption of the stasis and swelling.
5.Each time the ear beans on the ears need to be pressed more than 5 times a day, each time each bean is pressed 10 times, during which you can take a shower and remove it by yourself after 2-3 days; each time the small needle (snap pin) around the nose also needs to be pressed from time to time and kept for a maximum of 24 hours, then removed by yourself, during which it is best not to get water locally.
6.Usually 1 time/week, there will be certain effect after 6-8 times of treatment.
7, if the treatment for about a month, you think the effect is not satisfactory, please stop acupuncture, looking for other treatment methods.
