Guang Jin Qian Cao is effective in inducing diuresis, diuretic and diaphoretic (improving the problem of dribbling in urine and urinating in a small amount that does not pass), detoxifying and subduing swellings. It is mainly used for damp-heat jaundice, stone drenching (discharging gravel when urinating, or sudden interruption of urination, pain in the urethra, intolerable pain in the lower back and abdomen), heat drenching (burning and stinging pain evident when urinating, accompanied by frequent urination and urgency, and discomfort of traction in the lower abdomen) and other conditions. Guang Jin Qian Cao is sweet and light, seeps away dampness, slightly cold and clears heat, and mainly enters the liver and gallbladder meridian, which can clear away dampness-heat, reduce jaundice, and benefit the gallbladder to remove stones. It can be used in the treatment of damp-heat jaundice, and can be used together with gardenia and inoceramides. If treating liver and gallstones, gallbladder distension and coercive pain (pain in the area of coercion and ribs), it can be used together with rhubarb and yujin, yin chen. It can also detoxify heat and snake venom, and can be used to treat heat-poisoned sores and carbuncles (sores and carbuncles that appear on the surface of the skin because of excessive heat and venom in the body), and poisonous snake bites. Adverse reactions to Guang Jin Qian Cao are not known. Pregnant women should not take it.
