The manifestations of postpartum mania: the first one is that the patient will be inexplicably happy, exuberant, hand-wringing, very enthusiastic, and then very relaxed and happy, and very friendly to the people around him. The second one may be this expression of racing thoughts, talking a lot, rambling on and on, very hard to be interrupted, and then there may also be this expression of no apparent pause between sentences and between words. The third is that the patient is very active, completely disregarding his or her weaker post-partum condition, busy, constantly working or taking care of the child, and then sleeping less, and perhaps eating more, so busy that he or she has no time to eat or drink. Mothers in labor often show signs of weakness, such as very dry lips and mouth, very pale face, and may have fine shaking and sweating all over the body.
