The efficacy of Si Hai Shu Yu Wan is to regulate qi and relieve depression, dissolve phlegm and eliminate galls, treating gall tumors and scrofula (mainly referred to as cervical lymph node nodule tuberculosis) caused by stagnation of liver qi (liver qi is not unobstructed) and phlegm and qi congealment, and its composition includes seaweeds, seaweeds, sea clams, cuttlebone and other traditional Chinese medicines.
The efficacy of Scrofula Pill is to nourish yin and clear away heat (nourishing yin essence and clearing away heat), resolving phlegm and dispersing knots, and treating phlegm nuclei (lumps swollen up like nuclei under the skin) and gall tumors caused by deficiency of yin in the liver and kidney and liver-fire stagnation that burns the fluid to become phlegm, and the composition includes Chinese herbal medicines such as xuan shen (Genus sanguinarius), Bei Mu (Fritillariae), and oyster.
