What is m-tartrate aka m-hydroxylamine

Metaraminium bitartrate is an injectable, also known as metaraminium bitartrate injection, which belongs to the chemical class of drugs and is a vasoconstrictor. It can be used for hypotension caused by cardiogenic shock and sepsis, as an adjunct to hypotension caused by traumatic brain injury and hemorrhagic disease, drug allergy, surgical complications or brain tumor patients combined with shock, as a drug to raise blood pressure, for adjunctive treatment of hypotension, and is commonly used in hospitalization or resuscitation of patients with obvious indications. The common specifications are 1ml and 10mg per pill, and the dosage for pediatric patients needs to be calculated based on kilogram weight. Common adverse reactions include arrhythmia, severe hypertension, pulmonary edema, cardiac arrest, etc. It should not be used for a long time, but as a temporary medication in emergency situations, with strict control of contraindications and adverse reactions.
