Promote standardized conservative therapy

The use of non-surgical treatment of herniated disc, the main emphasis on two words: formal, must do the following 3 points: the correct method: ① rest in a hard bed for 4 to 7 days, try to reduce the time to sit or walk on the ground. Even if you go down, avoid bending and wear a lumbar brace for protection. The amount of daily activities should be gradual, so as not to aggravate the symptoms of lumbar and leg pain, until you gradually resume normal activities. ②Use local treatment, including electrotherapy, lumbar traction, manipulative therapy, acupuncture, and drug topical application, etc. ③Use non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, individual heavier patients can 20% mannitol 250 ml and dexamethasone 10 mg intravenously once a day for 5-7 days. ④ Exercise therapy, lumbar back muscle exercise, first five-point support method (Figure 1) (take the supine position, follow the bed with the head, both elbows and both feet, so that the hips are off the bed, the abdomen is convex in front as an arch bridge, slightly tilted down and repeated). Transition to the three-point support method (Figure 2) on the basis of the former method (supine position, holding the head with both hands, supporting the body with the head and both heels to lift the hips). Finally, the transition to the flying swallow method (Figure 3) (prone position, hands behind the hip, with the abdomen as a support point, the chest and both lower limbs are lifted off the bed at the same time, such as flying swallow, then relax and repeat). The amount of exercise should not be too large, but should be gradual, so as not to cause aggravation of back and leg pain. ⑤ Epidural cavity drug injection, often based on glucocorticoids, lidocaine, or with sodium hyaluronate, hyaluronidase, energy combination, neurotrophic drugs, salvia injection, pulsatilla injection, etc. Is conservative treatment for lumbar disc herniation OK? Sufficient course of treatment: generally 7 to 10 days is a course of treatment, and 2 to 3 consecutive courses of treatment. If the course of treatment is insufficient or intermittent, then it is difficult to achieve satisfactory results. Daily protection: Pay attention to the lumbar region on weekdays to prevent recurrence. Sitting posture should be correct, don’t bow your back, don’t sit, stand and walk for a long time, avoid bending for a long time, and wear a waist brace if necessary to support and protect the waist.
