The treatments for hypertensive nephropathy mainly include general treatment, drug treatment, dialysis treatment and so on.
1. General treatment: hypertensive nephropathy patients need to pay attention to low-salt, high-quality and low-protein diet, eating too much high-protein food and high-salt food may aggravate the burden on the kidneys, leading to sodium retention and aggravating hypertension.
2. Drug therapy: preferred ACEI or ARB drugs, such as captopril, irbesartan, etc. to reduce blood pressure, reduce urine protein. If there are various complications such as renal anemia, patients need to apply erythropoietin, roxarestat and other treatments; secondary hyperparathyroidism patients need to apply osteotriol, cinacalcet and other drugs.
3. Dialysis treatment: If the patient’s kidney function decreases more and reaches the degree of uremia, he/she needs to undergo renal replacement therapy such as hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis.
All of the above medications should be used under the guidance of doctors, avoid self-medication. Patients with hypertensive nephropathy are advised to go to regular hospitals in time and receive standardized treatment under doctors’ guidance.
