What should I do if my aunt is in pain?

Dysmenorrhea, which is a painful period, can be treated by improving lifestyle, using prostaglandin synthetase inhibitors, and taking oral contraceptives.
1. Improve your lifestyle: Stress and irregularity in life can lead to hormonal abnormalities in the body causing dysmenorrhea. Maintaining a good mood, enough rest and sleep, regular and moderate exercise, and keeping warm during menstruation can relieve dysmenorrhea to a certain extent.
2. Prostaglandin synthetase inhibitors: the occurrence of dysmenorrhea is mainly related to the increase of prostaglandin content in the uterus during menstruation, causing uterine smooth muscle contraction and vascular spasm. These drugs can reduce prostaglandin synthesis and prevent excessive uterine contractions and spasms, thus relieving pain. Commonly used drugs are ibuprofen, ketoprofen and so on.
3. Oral contraceptives: For women who do not have the requirement of childbearing for the time being, oral contraceptives can be used to inhibit ovulation, thus reducing the prostaglandin content during menstruation to relieve dysmenorrhea.
Dysmenorrhea may also be caused by some gynecological diseases such as adenomyosis, which requires treatment of the original disease, and it is recommended to go to the hospital in time for targeted treatment or therapy.
