If shortness of breath is present in the afternoon, asthma as well as cardiac insufficiency are not excluded. If the patient has hypertension, diabetes, or a long history of smoking or drinking alcohol, a past history of coronary heart disease, and has recently developed afternoon shortness of breath with swelling of the lower limbs and other clinical symptoms, cardiac insufficiency is considered, and active medical care is needed to improve the electrocardiogram, cardiac enzymes, troponin, cardiac natriuretic, cardiac ultrasound and other related tests. If the patient is diagnosed with cardiac insufficiency, comprehensive treatment such as cardiotonic, diuretic and vasodilator can be taken according to heart rate and blood pressure. If the patient suddenly develops shortness of breath with dry sounds in both lungs, clinical consideration does not exclude bronchial asthma, bronchodilator test can be improved, and the diagnosis of bronchial asthma requires inhalation of glucocorticoids and oral leukotriene modifiers.
