What’s going on with hemangiomas in the eyes of newborns?

Hemangiomas appear in the eyes of newborns, this is usually a capillary hemangioma of the eyelid, a congenital developmental abnormality of the vascular tissue, which is more common in children or newborns. Symptoms will appear as a bright red, blue or purple mass on the eyelid. If the location is shallow, the color will appear bright red. If the location is deeper, it will appear blue or purple with no other signs of irritation. In this case, it is recommended that premature treatment is not needed in the early stages, as capillary hemangiomas in newborns have a tendency to eliminate on their own. So with age, most children can regress on their own. If by the time the child is five years old, this symptom still hasn’t improved, or has a tendency to get bigger and affect the appearance, then consider surgical treatment.
