Lecithin complex iodine tablets are relatively mild in action and have fewer side effects, and are currently used mainly for the treatment of fundus lesions and vitreous opacities. Some patients may experience skin rash-like changes or gastrointestinal discomfort of varying degrees, so it should be discontinued promptly if adverse reactions occur during clinical use. Because it contains a certain amount of iodine, it should be used with caution in patients with chronic thyroid disease or who have suffered from sudden goiter or endogenous thyroxine synthesis deficiency, otherwise long-term use may lead to aggravation of the primary disease. The safety of the drug has not been established for pregnant women and children, so caution should be exercised in the use of the drug in these groups.
