How old can cataracts be done

The indications for cataract surgery are not related to age, but mainly to visual acuity. When cataracts are more serious and have a greater impact on vision, such as bare eye vision below 0.3, surgical treatment can be considered. Because the cause of cataracts is not simply age aging, congenital cataracts, developmental cataracts, traumatic cataracts, concurrent cataracts, metabolic cataracts and radiation cataracts are all different types with different ages of onset, some are older and some are younger. As long as the loss of vision affects normal work and life, they are all indications for surgery, so there is no need to look at age. Under normal circumstances, senile cataracts usually start to develop by the age of 50-60, and enter the mature stage at the age of 60-70, when surgery can be considered.
