Swallowing disorder is the main factor that seriously affects patients’ nutrition. The common causes of swallowing disorder at present are stroke, traumatic brain injury and some other clinical diseases of digestive and surgical systems. Our rehabilitation medicine department adopts a perfect assessment system for patients with swallowing disorder and has achieved better results in the rehabilitation of patients with swallowing disorder after functional disputes. Patients are required to undergo the following rehabilitation assessments after admission: 1. Nutritional status assessment; 2. Digital imaging assessment; 3. Swallowing electromyography assessment; 4. Cognitive assessment. The following rehabilitation techniques for swallowing disorders were used: 1. motor training of swallowing and related muscles; 2. electrical stimulation of swallowing muscles; 3. balloon dilation technique; 4. ice stimulation; 5. cognitive training.
