Classification of rhinitis and precautions

, acute rhinitis features: runny nose, sneezing, usually occurs with the cold.

, chronic rhinitis classification: chronic simple rhinitis: nasal congestion is intermittent or alternating, hyposmia, speech into an occlusive nasal sound. Children have dermatitis eczema in the nasal vestibule or upper lip. The nasal discharge is viscous and occasionally purulent.

.Chronic hypertrophic rhinitis: heavy nasal congestion, open-mouth breathing, thick, mucous or purulent nasal discharge, and irregular frontal pain.

, atrophic rhinitis: dry nose and nasopharynx, nasal congestion, nasal secretions into lumps, a small amount of nasal bleeding when blowing out the dry crust, hyposmia or loss of sense of smell, bad breath, headache and dizziness.

.Caseous rhinitis: the course of the disease is slow. Progressive nasal obstruction, pus odor, a small amount of nasal bleeding, loss of smell, dizziness and headache, loss of appetite. If the nasal cavity examination can be found cheese like accumulation, nasal septum perforation, external nasal deformation, early X-ray film can be seen in the sinuses uniformly blurred, late nasal cavity expansion and bone destruction.

, dry rhinitis: nasal mucosa cup cells are reduced or disappeared resulting in dry nasal mucosa, but the nasal mucosa and turbinate bone are not atrophied, and nasal secretions are not smelly. Dry rhinitis is mainly dryness in the nose, which is due to the atrophy of nasal and pharyngeal mucus glands and the reduction of nasal secretion. Patients often rub their noses and dig their noses to relieve the symptoms. The mucous membrane is dry and the blood vessels are easily brittle and slightly damaged, often leading to bleeding, especially when the mucous membrane is eroded, ulcerated or the nasal septum is perforated, often with bloody snot.

, allergic rhinitis: red and itchy eyes with tears, itchy nose, nasal snot mostly clear water, pus snot when infected, nasal cavity is not ventilated, ear stuffiness; sneezing (suddenly, violently); black circles under the eyes; breathing through the mouth, decreased or lost sense of smell; headache and dizziness, children will have allergic salutation because of rubbing nose.

, sinusitis: mostly secondary to acute rhinitis. Sinusitis has acute, chronic. Acute phase symptoms are nasal blockage, increased nasal discharge, mucus or purulent, local pain and headache; chronic phase is mainly runny nose and headache.
