Etiology: Cerebral palsy is a disorder of motor and even language function caused by the central nervous system. The causes and types of cerebral palsy are as follows: 1. Placental abnormalities, fetal malposition, intrauterine distress, and preterm multiple births, which are all problems before birth. It is what occurs during pregnancy. 2. Asphyxia at birth and lack of oxygen to the brain are the causative factors of cerebral palsy. Ischemic and hypoxic encephalopathy in newborns are also prone to cerebral palsy. 3. Infection and trauma, brain malformation. Four types: 1. Hypoxic asphyxia type. Hypoxic asphyxia type includes fetal asphyxia due to lack of oxygen in the mother’s womb. This condition is mostly seen when the umbilical cord is wrapped around the neck, or the fetal position is not correct, which can easily cause fetal asphyxia inside. 2. During delivery, neonatal distress asphyxia, respiratory distress syndrome, peripheral circulatory failure, erythrocytosis, etc. may cause brain lesions, which may lead to cerebral palsy. 3. Fetal malposition and birth clamp injury. The normal fetal position is head to pelvis, but some children may not be head to pelvis, and then the mother insists on giving birth by herself. The birth clamp can lead to brain injury. 4. Premature babies and fetal dysplasia. Premature babies are not well developed because the whole body is not ripe before the melon falls, in this case, the child will have some deficiencies in body and mind. The other thing is that the newborn’s weight is less than 2,500 grams, and the possibility of cerebral palsy will be greatly increased. According to relevant statistics, 40% of children with cerebral palsy weigh less than 2500 grams at birth.
