Fennel Worms

Fennel Worm is effective in regulating qi, resolving blood stasis, and relieving pain; it is used to treat gastric pain, hernia pain, and other conditions.
Fennel Worm is a traditional Chinese medicine for the larvae of Fennel Worm, an animal of the family Fennelidae. This Chinese medicine has the effects of regulating qi, resolving blood stasis and relieving pain. It is used for gastric pain, hernia pain, hiccups, choking and diaphragm and other conditions. Its adverse effects and contraindications are not clear at present. It should be noted that it is contraindicated in people with stomach heat and deficiency.
Clinically, it is often combined with cloves and Forsythia to be taken in decoction for treating stomach pain; with Taiwan aconite, tangerine kernel and lychee kernel to be taken in decoction for hernia pain; and with fennel root, wood sorrel and persimmon root to be taken in decoction for oesophageal cancer.
This drug should be used under the standardized guidance of traditional Chinese medicine practitioners, and should not be taken blindly on its own to avoid delaying the condition.
