You should not exercise after rabies vaccination. The body experiences a brief decline in immune function after exercise, especially after strenuous exercise, resulting in a state of stress for the body’s immune system. When the body’s immune function decreases, it affects the time and amount of antibodies the body stimulates the rabies vaccine to produce. Adverse reactions may occur after rabies vaccination. Localized symptoms include pain, itching, and rash. Systemic symptoms include low-grade fever, dizziness, nausea, and impaired consciousness. Strenuous exercise by the patient can aggravate an adverse reaction or inappropriate exercise can cause an adverse reaction. Rest should be the mainstay after rabies vaccination. You can usually return to normal exercise one week after vaccination. If you feel unwell after rabies vaccination, you must go to the regular hospital for treatment in time.
