How to read vision screening data

Vision screening data, which generally includes the specific status of naked eye vision, corrected vision, and refraction. On the vision examination data sheet, R stands for right eye and L stands for left eye. Naked eye visual acuity generally refers to the visual acuity checked without glasses, and corrected visual acuity usually refers to the visual acuity with corrective glasses. Spherical Lens Degree refers to the degree of nearsightedness or farsightedness, where a plus sign indicates farsightedness while a minus sign indicates nearsightedness, and Column Lens Degree refers to the degree of astigmatism. These results can be used to check the patient’s naked eye visual acuity. If the visual acuity is not up to standard, it may be caused by myopia, astigmatism, hyperopia, cataract and other factors, and further examination in hospital is needed to clarify the cause. It is recommended that patients with vision loss should seek timely medical attention to assess their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
