What does enhanced lung texture mean?

Enhanced lung texture is a disorganization of the structures of the lungs due to dilated changes, even producing inflammation or edema. The image appears textured and is often associated with bronchitis and smoking. Common diseases that show texture in the lungs include chronic bronchitis and bronchiectasis. Pulmonary texture is mainly manifested in the pulmonary arteries, pulmonary veins, bronchi and lymphatic vessels, and can be seen on chest radiographs with more obvious imaging, usually radiating, stripe-like shadows extending from the hilum. Therefore, patients should seek prompt medical attention to take images to determine the specific condition and prescribe the right medication. Appropriate anti-inflammatory medications should be taken, and attention should be paid to quitting smoking and trying to create a good environment to fundamentally reduce the possibility of enhanced lung texture.
