There are two methods of gallbladder removal: 1) open cholecystectomy, also known as OC. before 1990, OC surgery was basically adopted, and the gallbladder was removed through an oblique or longitudinal incision in the right upper abdomen, which is relatively more traumatic and less painful and aesthetically pleasing after surgery; 2) since 1990, LC surgery, also known as laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery, has been introduced. In the future, as long as 3-4 holes are made in the abdominal wall of the patient, or even 1 hole alone, after deep instrumentation, the gallbladder can be removed by dealing with the gallbladder duct and gallbladder artery, cutting down the gallbladder, and then expanding the small opening. This procedure is simple, bleeding is low, patient acceptance is very high, and only a few very small incision scars are left on the patient’s abdominal wall after the procedure.
