Platinum-based chemotherapeutic agents are one of the commonly used chemotherapeutic agents and are an essential class of drugs in the chemotherapy of solid tumors. At present, there are three generations of platinum drugs. The first generation is cisplatin, which is also the earliest platinum-based drug and is currently the most widely used platinum-based drug. It is also the most widely used platinum drug. It is effective in solid tumors such as gastric cancer, breast cancer, testicular tumor, lung cancer, head and neck tumor, ovarian cancer and osteosarcoma. The second-generation drugs are carboplatin and nedaplatin, with a similar application range as cisplatin, although nephrotoxicity, ototoxicity and gastrointestinal reactions are milder than those of cisplatin. The third-generation drugs are oxaliplatin and lopatin, etc. The former has mild digestive reactions and is mostly used for digestive malignancies; the latter is mostly used for digestive tract tumors and gynecological tumors. The use of platinum drugs should be under the guidance of oncologists.
