What is pathology section

Pathological section, is a biopsy tissue, surgically removed specimen, in the pathology department by the pathologist to take the specimen into a suitable tissue block, then the tissue block will be dehydrated, transparent, embedding, wax dipping and finally sectioning, the cut tissue will be placed on the slide, and then after a series of procedures such as staining and sealing, the tissue section made is the pathological section. Pathology section is the prerequisite for pathologists to diagnose diseases. Pathologists mainly look at pathology sections under the microscope to make disease diagnosis. Pathology section is the most important part of the daily work of pathology department, and is also a prerequisite for diagnosing pathological diseases.
