Since patients with plasmacytoma often have symptoms of loss of appetite, anorexia and dullness of taste, and patients with head and neck or chest tumors treated with radiotherapy often have dry mouth, sore throat and esophagitis, special attention should be paid to the patient’s diet. (1) Nutritious, light, easily digestible, colorful and fragrant food is recommended, and the patient’s sense of sight and smell should be mobilized to increase the patient’s appetite. (2) It is advisable to eat a cool, non-stimulating diet, the temperature of meals should not be too hot, meat should be finely chopped, vegetables or fruits that cannot be swallowed can be squeezed into juice for drinking, and delicious containing ice, eat a small amount of cold drinks, and drink more yogurt.
