What to eat for Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism

“Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism” generally refers to hypothyroidism caused by Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. Patients with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis-induced hypothyroidism need to eat a varied and balanced diet, and there is no such thing as “what’s good for you to eat”. You can eat eggs, milk, various vegetables and cereals. Hashimoto’s thyroiditis is an autoimmune disease for which there is no cure. Patients with hypothyroidism caused by Hashimoto’s thyroiditis should limit the consumption of foods that may aggravate their condition, and prefer a “low iodine diet”, i.e. limiting the consumption of iodized salt to high iodine foods, such as kelp, seaweed, and shrimp. Patients with hypothyroidism caused by Hashimoto’s thyroiditis should go to the endocrinology and nutrition departments of regular hospitals for professional dietary advice.
