How to treat TI-RADS class 3

TI-RADS category 3 is a categorical description of thyroid nodules by thyroid ultrasound. Thyroid nodules in category 3 and below are benign, and there are two main principles for the treatment of these nodules: First, you can follow up and observe the thyroid ultrasound every six months or a year to see if there are any obvious changes in the size and shape of the nodules. Second, if the nodule is large and has grown by more than 1 cm, surgical treatment can be considered. However, for benign nodules, patients are advised to follow up and observe, and surgical treatment is not considered for the time being. If the nodule is observed after six months or a year, and the nodule is obviously larger than before, it should be removed surgically as early as possible.
