Pediatric ADHD is also known as childhood hyperactivity syndrome and mild brain dysfunction syndrome. It is a comprehensive disease with normal or basically normal intelligence, but clinically manifested as excessive activity, inattention, emotional instability and capriciousness, impulsivity, and varying degrees of learning difficulties, and minor disorders of speech, memory and motor control. The prevalence of this disease is about 3-5% in school-age children, with the most frequent age of 6-14 years old and the highest incidence in children aged 6-8 years old, with a higher incidence in boys, which is 3-4 times higher than in girls.
