Moderator: With the new semester coming up, what do parents of children with ADHD need to be aware of when communicating with their teachers? Suhong Wang: With the coming of the new semester, some teachers will change. New teachers may treat ADHD children differently as “other kids” because they don’t know the students well. Children, after all, every day and teachers together with the time is far greater than the time with their parents, teachers and parents should be through the correct, proactive way of communication, in order to achieve both sides of the collaboration, co-management, the child to create a “suitable” environment for growth. Teachers should pay attention to creating an appropriate communication platform, correctly recognizing parents with ADHD, adopting appropriate communication language, and seeking help from doctors when appropriate; while parents should make efforts to recognize and respect the role of teachers, understand the pressure on teachers, communicate with teachers proactively and regularly, and seek help from doctors when appropriate.
